How safe is the Welock smart lock?

Welock smart lock uses state-of-the-art banking-grade encryption technology. Every communication with our smart lock is encrypted and protected. The encryption of each lock and each communication is different. We also have our Smart Lock period inspected and certified by an independent security agency each year.

How can I share access with others?

With Welock smart locks, you can create unlimited temporary passwords and share them with your friends and guests. It is not only suitable for general household, but also for Airbnb and hotel. To learn how to share access with others on the Welock App, click here.

What if my smart lock battery is empty?

Welock smart locks have more than 1 year of battery life based on 10 unlocks per day.

If your lock runs out of power! You can use a portable charger to unlock the lock until you can replace the battery. Please know that Welock Smart Lock does not support charging. 

① Use USB to power the lock.

② Open Welock App switch to the unlock interface, click the USB icon on the right side of the unlock button to switch to USB unlock mode, click to unlock.

Can I install the Welock Smart Lock all by myself?

Welock smart locks are very easy to install and most people can install them in less than 10 minutes by themselves.We also include a screwdriver for you.We have detailed instructions and installation videos to help you install it step by step.

Does the smart lock fit on my door?

Welock smart locks fit most European doors. Our lock cylinders are adjustable to fit various door thicknesses. We also have American smart locks that are compatible with American doors. For specific parameters, please refer to the product page data.

What should I do if I forget the administrator password?

Please contact our customer service to provide your proof of purchase we will help you to solve this problem.

 How to set the lock time and date?

Please bind the lock to the app first, and unlock the lock via app, then the lock time will be the same as the mobile phone time automatically.

How can I know the lock is out of power?

Each time you use it, a screen above the fingerprintdevice shows the power. APP will prompt low batteryand send text messages to the phone.

What is the frequency of the RFID card used by Welock Smart Lock?

How to set the language of Welock Smart Lock?

Currently Welock Smart Lock only supports English and German language display on the lock. We will add more languages later.

Please restart the lock by removing the battery, then the lock will ask for the language, then please select the language according to your needs.

Please find the lock ID with 8 digits number on themiddle of lock, or find it on packing box.

Will Welock Smart lock work if power is out?

If the Welock smart lock is out of power, it cannot be unlocked. You can change the battery to make the smart lock work again. In an emergency, you can also use the power bank to power the smart lock to unlock it.

How to add Admin fingerprints to the Welock fingerprint lock?

Welock fingerprint lock supports adding 3 administrator Only administrators can set up operations.

- When the screen is off Press the Set button for 5 seconds, add an admin fingerprint.  There is no need to verify the admin fingerprint when registering the firstadministrator. When registering the follow-up administrator fingerprint andperforming other setting operations, you must verify the registered adminfingerprint first. When the screen displays Add admin FP, hold for 2s and enter the admin's fingerprint.

How to add user fingerprints to the Welock fingerprint lock?

The number of userfingerprints is 97. The user fingerprints cannot be added when an adminfingerprint is not registered.

- When the screen is off Press the Set button for 5 seconds verify the admin fingerprint. Press the button once to choose add user fingerprint. Then press and hold the fingerprint 3 times.

How to delete user fingerprint?

Press the Set button for 5 seconds, verify the admin fingerprint. Press theSet button twice, delete a single user fingerprint. First, verify the adminfingerprint. After the verification pass, select to delete the fingerprint of thespecified user (Press the fingerprint or delete it in the APP)

Will it read slowly or fail to recognize the fingerprint after long time using?

It won't. The fingerprint sensor has a particular protection film on it.

How do I change the administrator password?

Please press any button to wake up the lock, click "lock button icon"  

- Enter admin password to enter the menu click "lock icon button" to confirm

- Press "1" to choose Password option then  Click "lock icon button" to confirm

- Press "1" to modify - Click" lock button" to confirm

- Enter the new admin password -Click "lock button"  to confirm

- Enter admin password again - Click "lock button" to confirm

How to add a password?

Please press any button to wake up the lock, click "lock button icon"  

- Enter admin password to enter the menu click "lock icon button" to confirm

- Press "1" to choose Password option then Click "lock icon button" to confirm

- Press "2" to Add password - Click" lock button" to confirm

- Enter the new password -Click "lock button" to confirm

- Enter the new password again - Click "lock button" to confirm

How to modify the auto-lock time?

By default the Welock Smart Lock will automatically lock after 8 seconds of unlocking. If you want to modify please follow these steps:

Please press any button to wake up the lock, click "lock button icon"  

- Enter admin password to enter the menu click "lock icon button" to confirm

- Press "6" to choose Setup option, click "lock button icon" to confirm  

- Press "3" to choose Lock Delay option, click "lock button icon" to confirm  

- Enter the unit of time you want to delay in seconds, click "lock button icon" to confirm
